Christmas

Christmas will, as usual, be a busy time at St Lawrence. Come and join us over Advent and the Christmas season to rejoice in God's great gift to us - His son, Jesus Christ.

+ On Saturday 4th December, York Musical Society will be performing their annual Christmas Concert, supported by brass quintet, at 4pm. Read more here.

+ On Friday 15th December at 7:30pm, the Friends of St Lawrence will be holding a Christmas Celebration. Featuring a fine supper and entertainment including carols on handbells, poems, and carols, tickets will go fast at £5 each (contact Christine or any of the clergy or churchwardens for tickets). Please bring your own wine! (glasses provided)

+ On Sunday 17th December, the church's annual Carol Service will be at 6pm. This is always a popular occasion and will be followed by refreshments.

+ On Tuesday 19th December, St Lawrence's School Carol Service will be held in the church at 9am. Children's families and all supporters of the school welcome.

+ Again on Tuesday 19th December, we will be singing for Carols Till Closing at the Waggon & Horses pub - come along from 8:30pm for an informal sing and a pint!

+ On Sunday 24th December - Christmas Eve - instead of the usual Sunday service pattern there will be a Sung Eucharist at 10am, a family Crib Service at 3pm, and Midnight Mass at 11:30pm.

+ On Monday 25th December - Christmas Day - there will be a Sung Eucharist at 10am.
